Creating real connections through live events
Now that the live events industry is stepping into uncharted territory in the wake of a nationwide lockdown, we have been rethinking our strategies in order to make public events possible, even within self-imposed isolation.
Our co-founder Jon Salmon has over 20 years of event and live streaming experience having covered some of the largest entertainment events from around the world.
Jon helps to produce a regular What’s Going On In Your Head event in Covent Garden, London consisting of live entertainment exploring the inner workings of the human mind. It is an intimate event of about 150 people in a relaxed space where we can discuss and disclose the more vulnerable aspects of ourselves.
However, due to the outbreak of the coronavirus, the event was adapted creating an online evening of spoken word, music and discussion designed especially for the living room.
"We wanted to create an online event that had the same intimacy of our physical shows for the audience and performers. It wasn't about creating an audience of millions and all about everyone feeling more connected in these times of isolation" Jon Salmon, Co-founder Byte Entertainment
The first-ever What's Going On In Your Head Online Jam turned out to be an incredible evening with 12 performers including singer-songwriter Kyan, world record-breaking beatboxer SK Shlomo, campaigner Jonny Benjamin MBE and the poet and rapper, Duke Al Durham.
At Byte Entertainment we have streamed to millions of people but in these times of isolation, it's more important than ever that the experiences you are creating have real intimacy and connection.
